PRESENTATIONS

While at the University of Connecticut in the Digital Media and Design program, I've had the opportunity to create presentations to grow my skills in the business world while analyzing businesses to make them better.

Dunkin vs Starbucks

Digital Media and Design: Social Media Business Applications (Spring 2025)

The presentation compares Dunkin’ and Starbucks, highlighting Dunkin’s focus on affordability, speed, and social media engagement, especially with younger audiences. Starbucks, in contrast, emphasizes a premium, customizable experience and global brand consistency. Ethical concerns and digital strategies are discussed for both, with suggested improvements for Dunkin’ in transparency and sourcing. Goals were stated for Dunkin’ to boost social media growth and customer engagement.

The Digital Divide

Digital Media and Design: Digital Media and Technology Ethics (Spring 2025)

The presentation examines the digital divide, focusing on unequal access to technology, online harassment, and biased algorithms. It shows how low-income, rural, and marginalized groups face barriers in education, jobs, and healthcare due to limited digital access. Solutions like the Digital Equity Act and EU initiatives aim to improve connectivity, device access, and digital skills through funding and policy changes.

Peloton

Digital Media and Design: Digital Media Strategies for Business 1 (Fall 2024)

The presentation audits Peloton as a premium fitness brand known for high-quality equipment and immersive virtual workouts. It targets affluent, health-conscious users and thrives on strong community and digital engagement. Key challenges include high costs, limited workout variety, and growing competition. To expand, we wanted Peloton to plan a new campaign offering personalized meal plans to complement fitness routines and attract busy professionals.

Ticketmaster Crisis: The Eras Tour Debacle

Digital Media and Design: Digital Media Strategies for Business 1 (Fall 2024)

This presentation outlines the 2022 ticketing failure during Taylor Swift’s tour, where massive demand crashed Ticketmaster’s site and led to a canceled general sale. The incident sparked fan outrage, artist criticism, and government investigations into Ticketmaster’s market dominance and business practices. Despite controlling over 70% of the ticketing market, Ticketmaster’s systems failed under pressure, exposing flaws in its dynamic pricing and resale policies. The crisis prompted lawsuits, congressional hearings, and calls for reform, leaving the company to rebuild trust and improve its technology amid growing regulatory scrutiny.
